The website content search tool is now accessible to all digital teams, enabling them to efficiently audit content across our websites for different cultures. This tool provides a comprehensive overview, allowing digital content teams to see which content is published in which culture. This enables them to:

  • Directly use the existing content in their culture as is
  • Translate and adapt the content for their culture, or
  • Modify the content to suit local preferences before publishing.

This visibility significantly reduces the time spent on searching for and auditing content, and it helps avoid the duplication of topics. For example, there is no need to recreate an article on the benefits of vegan chocolate if it already exists. Instead, teams can focus their efforts on developing new content, such as trend articles on functional foods, which can then be shared and utilized by other digital content teams globally.

Websites in scope

  • barry-callebaut.com
  • cacao-barry.com
  • callebaut.com
  • chocolate-academy.com
  • sicaochocolate.com

Content in scope

  • All URLs from published pages (based on availability status, not on translation status) that are available in the public search index
e.g. a page that is made available for France will appear in the results even when it has no 'translation' in the France culture fr-FR
  • Content might only appear after some days depending on the time of publication versus the indexation time. Indexation happens twice a week. The search spider runs at the following times:
      Mon 09:00 and Thu 20:00
    • https://www.callebaut.com/
      Tue 09:00 and Sat 09:00
    • https://www.cacao-barry.com/
      Wed 09:00 and Sun 09:00
    • https://www.chocolate-academy.com/
      Thu 09:00 and Sun 02:00
    • https://www.sicaochocolate.com/
      Fri 13:00 and Tue 18:00

This schedule avoids performance issues while adding fresh pages to the index twice a week. Note that a spider run can take anything from 5 minutes (Sicao), to 3 hours (Callebaut/Cacaobarry) and even 12+ hours (Barry-Callebaut).

Result teaser tiles

  • Each result teaser contains links to culture URLs that are part of the top 2500 results (so not all available translations might be listed, click on a page to double-check the available translations and/or availability settings to get the full picture)
  • Languages (cultures) are shown in order of relevance, so if de-DE had the result with the highest relevance score, it would be first in the list.
  • The title displayed is the one from the page URL with the highest score.

Filters

Using the text search
  • Language does matter in text searches
Only the URLs that contain one or more search words will be part of the result. The search result will not include potential translations of the same word. e.g. a search for "pack" will only return results where the word "pack" is added, not the potential other language versions of that same page
When using the predefined filters (see below) you will/can see all URLs.
  • Match all words or any word
By default, the search will return results for any word.
Check the "Match all words" checkbox to show only results where all words are present.
This difference is also called an "AND/OR" search:
AND: search for "mango cake" will only return results where both "mango" AND "cake" are found
OR: search for "mango cake" will return results where "mango" OR "cake" are found
Using the predefined filters
  • When using one or multiple predefined filters the results will show all available URLs that are part of the top 2500 results. So on page 10 of the results, certain URLs might be missing because they are not part of the top 2500.

Sorting of results

  • Results are sorted on the page creation date
  • Unless a search filter is applied, then it's based on relevance
